A pedodontist is specially trained to maintain and work on dental cavities, extractions, tooth and gum diseases and dental woes of children from birth to childhood and adolescence. Special skills include dealing with special children, children in need of extensive dental treatment and typical dental needs of children. The pedodontist must allay the child's fear and anxiety.
